BBI’s joint secretary Ambassador Dr Martin Kimani appointed as the new permanent representative to the United Nations.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed BBI joint Secretary  Amb. Dr. Martin Kimani on his appointment as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Kenya will definitely be well represented at the UN Security Council.
Before this appointment, Amb. Kimani has been serving as the Director of Kenya’s National Counter Terrorism Center and had previously served as the Country’s Permanent Representative and Head of Mission to UNON and UNEP.

In a statement, the President also nominated Amb John Tipis as Canberra high commissioner, Immaculate Wambua to Ottawa and Amb Catherine Mwangi high commissioner to Pretoria.

Nominated as ambassadors are, Am Jean Kamau stationed in Addis Ababa, Linday Kiptiness, Bangkok, Amb Tom Amolo to Berlin, Lemarron Kaanto, Brasilia, Amb Daniel Wambura, Bujumbura and Stella Munyi ambassador to Harare.

Others are Maj Gen Samuel Nandwa for Juba, Maj Gen Ngewa Mukala, Khartoum, Amb Benson Ogutu to Moscow, Joshua Gatimu, Tehran, Amb Tabu Irina, Tokyo and Amb Jean Kimani to United Nations Habitat.

Also nominated as Deputy head of missions are Hudson Ivutsia to Abuja station, Margaret Mwachanya, Islamabad, London is Joakim Kiarie Kamere, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Thomas Chepkato to Mogadishu.

Dr. Paul Kibiwott nominated to Moscow, Irene Achieng Oloo to New Delhi, Isaac Parashina, Tel Aviv, Judy Sijine nominated to The Hague, and Consolata Nkatha Bucha Maina to Rome.

Consolata Nkatha and Margaret Mwachanya and Paul Kibiwott nominated as deputy mission heads to Rome, Islamabad and Moscow respectively were former IEBC commissioners.

He moved to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation's Coro FM as an on air presenter in 2003 where he worked till 2011 when he relocated to USA.

While in Coro FM Captain Njoroge Njeri ( CNN ) conducted various live interviews with Politicians like Hon Moody Awori the then VP, Hon Uhuru Uhuru Kenyatta then the Minister of Finance and DPM, Hon Ruto then the Minister of Agriculture, Hon Martha Karua then the Minister for Constitutional affairs among many other prominent persons.

To this day, Captain's programs remain fresh in the ears of his funs and this made him develop the need to continue broadcasting online.

As a result Trumpet of Hope Media Ministry was founded as a tool to inform, entertain, educate the Kenyans in the Diaspora.
