When Simon Muraya left his family to visit Kenya, he believed that his wife and her kid were safe in a quiet lovely neighborhood near George Bush International Airport.
On the wonderful evening of 7th November Simon’s wife Yvonne decide to take a walk with her kid and on return she was welcomed by smoke all over her house. She saw the arsonist who had apparently broken into the compound through the back side by cutting through the perimeter wall and ransacked the whole place. As if to clear any evidence, the intruder/ thief and arsonist decided to set the house on fire destroying everything the family has owned.
Friends of the family and Kenyans in Houston area have come together to help the family get back on their feet. “We thank God and are glad that the entire family is safe and no one was injured during the incident”.
We are therefore reaching out to the community to financially support Simon, Yvonne and their 1 year-old baby with whatever you can.
